Zaytoun
A non-profit cooperative called Zaytoun CIC was founded in 2004 to create a market in the UK for Palestinian artisanal goods that are fairly traded. According to the International Olive Oil Council, Palestine is the "birthplace of the olive tree." The Arabic word for olives is zaytoun. These delectable products are made with ingredients that Zaytoun ethically purchased, and rather than providing aid, they directly benefit the producer communities through commerce.
