In addition to importing beeswax and organic honey from Africa, Tropical Forest also produces its own organic honey in Wales and England. They started doing this in 1990 and were the first company to send African organic honey to the UK. This honey is produced by small-scale forest beekeepers in Zambia, Ethiopia, and Cameroon using conventional bark hives. In addition to providing honey and beeswax to commercial users with a focus on the cosmetics industry, they source distinctive varieties of honey from other beekeepers around the world with an emphasis on quality, flavor, and tradition.
